BITER 3 Campaign: Pictures and CTD data from Lander_AC23 at Tossa de Mar
Authors/Creators
Description
This dataset contains benthic imagery and oceanographic time-series data acquired by the fixed benthic node Lander_AC23 during the BITER 3 campaign at Tossa de Mar between 1 December 2024 and 3 December 2025.
The dataset was generated within the framework of the BITER project (PID2020-114732RB-C31), a national research initiative that combines biology and technology to monitor and support the recovery of fisheries-impacted species and marine ecosystems. The project focuses on spatial connectivity and the development of ecological indicators to inform conservation and management actions.
Lander_AC23 is a fixed benthic lander designed for autonomous seabed monitoring. The platform was equipped with a Guard1 underwater camera (SN0003), acquiring benthic images every 30 minutes for ecological observation and habitat monitoring, and an SBE 37 CTD sensor (SN3724510) providing oceanographic time-series measurements.
The dataset includes benthic photographs distributed as compressed archives (ZIP format) and CTD time-series data distributed in NetCDF format.
Data were collected in delayed mode between 2024-12-01T08:00:00Z and 2025-12-03T00:00:00Z.
