Bulgarian politician and tenth Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) 2009-2017 Was born 12 July 1952 in Sofia, Bulgaria. She is the daughter of Georgi Filipov Bokov, journalist, and Nadezhda Karadzhova, radiobiologist. She married Lubomir Kolarov, journalist, with whom she had one daughter and one son.
