Description

Norwegian politician and fifth Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) 1998-2003 Was born 20 April 1939 in Bærum near Oslo, Norway. She is the daughter of Gudmund Harlem, physician and politician, and Inga Margareta Elisabet Brynolf, political party employee. On 9 December 1960 she married Arne Olav Brundtland, political scientist. They have one daughter and three sons.
