Description

German intellectual and Director-General of the Rhine Shipping Octroi 1806-1813 and charged with preparing the regulatory framework of the Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine 1815-1819 Was born 18 May 1762 in Bonn, Electorate of Cologne, the Holy Roman Empire and passed away 2 December 1827 in Bonn Kessenich, Prussia. He was the son of Johann August Eichhoff, cook, and Maria Magdalena Farber. On 9 November 1782 he married Eva Franziska Grau, court singer, with whom he had three sons.
