Description

Dutch Minister for Foreign Affairs and fifth Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) 1971-1984 Was born 28 August 1911 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and passed away 17 July 2002 in Brussels, Belgium. He was the son of Hubert Marie Luns, painter-sculptor and professor in drawing, and Harriet Anna Paula Marie Louvrier. On 10 January 1939 he married Elisabeth Cornelia Baroness van Heemstra.
