Description

Yugoslavian economist and first Director of the United Nations International Research and Training Institute for the Advancement of Women (INSTRAW) 1981-1990 Was born 13 October 1936 in Zagreb, Yugoslavia and passed away 23 December 2003 in Zagreb, Croatia. She was the daughter of Gjuro Pastizzi, watchmaker, and Marija Vodnica, administrator at a food production factory. On 20 November 1960 she married Ante Ferenčić, geology engineer, with whom she had two daughters. Entry in IO BIO, Biographical Dictionary of Secretaries-General of International Organizations.
