Description

Norwegian politician and seventh United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) January-November 1990 Was born 8 July 1931 in Oslo, Norway and died 13 July 2018 in Oslo. He was the son of Theodor Emil Stoltenberg, Lieutenant Colonel, and Ingeborg Andresen. On 6 April 1957 he married Karin Heiberg, geneticist and women's rights advocate, with whom he had two daughters and one son.
