Japanese diplomat and fifth Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) 2009-2019 Was born 9 May 1947 in Yugawara, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan and passed away 18 July 2019 in Vienna, Austria. Family relations and vital data have not been made public. He married Yukika, a medical foreign service officer. They had no children.
