Description

Belgian politician and eighth Director-General of the International Labour Office of the International Labour Organization (ILO) 1989-1999 Was born on 23 March 1940 in Rotheux-Rimière, Belgium. He is the son of Edgard Hansenne, metalworker, and Georgette Charlier, secretary. In 1978 he married Gabrielle van Landschoot. They have one daughter and one son.
