Description

Brazilian diplomat and fifth Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) 1995-2004 Was born on 1 March 1937 in São Paulo, Brazil. He is the son of João Ricupero, a locksmith and small business owner, and Assumpta Jovine. On 2 September 1961 he married Marisa Parolari, a specialist in Brazilian artistic patrimony at the Ministry of Culture. They have three daughters and one son.
